Someone asked Master Cheng Yen, “Master, you have attained many international awards. What are your views on this worldwide recognition?”
The Master answered:
Attaining awards is not Tzu Chi’s objective. Most importantly, we need to frequently conduct self-inspection and see if we have fulfilled our initial aspiration. This is our true objective.
