Someone asked, “How to guide beginners in Buddhism?”
The Master answered:
Beginners need to be attentive and careful when learning the Buddha’s teachings. A misconception could lead to an obstruction in learning. Thus, the learning journey could result in "a major error arising from a minor misconception."
It is best for beginners to experience the Buddhist teachings through personal encounters. This means that, in their daily lives, they should learn to examine their own intentions and the phenomena that occur in human life. They should also be devoted to purifying their body and mind. This is the meaning of “humanising the Buddhist teachings”. The learning of Buddhism should revolve around personal encounters, otherwise there is no way to truly learn and practise Buddhism.
