The Master answered:

The thinking of the older generation is different from the younger people these days. However, fathers and daughters should still communicate with each other wisely despite the difference in mindset. Communication is important. Confucius said that if you saw your father doing something that ought not to be done, you should use your wisdom to communicate with him repeatedly. If communication fails, you might as well obey him for the time being to avoid conflict due to disobedience. Matters can be communicated and discussed with our parents. However, we can only obey our parents when it comes to parent-child relations. This is the attitude a child should have.
