Someone asked, "How to simultaneously work and spiritually cultivate?"
The Master answered:
"Strive to be still when it is difficult to remain still" is what spiritual cultivation is about. Spiritual cultivation need not necessarily occur in a monastery or when no one is disturbed. Spiritual cultivation is about living among people and being vigilant when interacting with others. The lessons we need to learn are found in our daily lives, so we are spiritually cultivating when we live our everyday lives and do our best at work.
