Someone asked, “I have done good deeds, but why do I often fall sick?"

The Master answered:

Falling sick is inevitable. In nature, there are spring, summer, autumn, and winter, as well as cloudy and sunny days. If it is sunny every day without rain, the grass and trees will not survive. So when there are sunny days, there will also be rainy days.

The same is true for the human body. We will naturally have health problems when the four elements of our body— earth, water, fire, and wind — become imbalanced.

It is normal to fall sick as long as one does not become mentally ill. If you are suffering from minor illnesses of the body, you should treat it as a natural phenomenon and be mindful of the impermanence of life.
