Someone asked, “What is inner humanistic quality?”

The Master answered:

It is the ability to restrain ourselves.

If you only focus on displaying external humanistic qualities, what is genuinely within will reveal its form after some time. The challenge of cultivating the bodhisattva's path lies in eradicating our attachment to our ego. Being stubborn with our point of view will disrupt interpersonal harmony and create hurdles when dealing with people or handling matters.
