Everything originates from the mind. Some people work to beautify the world the best they can, while others smear the society and vilify themselves. All these actions and deeds actually originate from the mind.
We must uphold the right values in order not to deviate from the right direction in life. When we look at the various crimes in our society today, we can deduce that if the criminals had possessed the right mindset, they would have definitely contributed a lot to the betterment of society with their wits and physical capabilities. But with a deviant thought, they took the wrong steps and ended up destroying themselves, tarnishing their own life, and smearing the society.
If a person is able to turn over a new leaf and turn towards the light, not only will he beautify his life, he will also beautify the society. It is not easy to be born as a human being; hence we should make good use of our talents and abilities to work for the benefit of our society.
We should overcome hardships in life with wisdom and calm our hearts with the right perspective on life. At the same time, we must also carefully ponder what we should do and what we shouldn’t.
What is lacking the most in society today, is an education about “love”. Our family education, school education and education from the society should focus on inspiring loving kindness in people’s hearts.
Our society belongs to everyone. We should build a healthy and positive family if we desire a harmonious society. To maintain a healthy and happy family, every member must possess the right perspective and values in life. If there is good family education, where the parents lead by example, then naturally, the children will be less likely to become rebellious or get involved in gangs. In addition, education institutions should also focus more on instilling the right faith and values in students, in order to guide them towards the right direction in life.
In a nutshell, the work of “purifying people’s hearts and minds” is the responsibility of every member of the society. Only by purifying our mind will we be able to purify the minds of others. May everyone unleash the love in their heart and eliminate unwholesome thoughts, so that our society may be filled with truth, beauty and kindness!
