Tzu Chi Advocates Vegetarianism at Its Annual Seventh Lunar Month Prayer Ceremony
Tzu Chi Merit (Singapore) held two sessions of the Auspicious Seventh Lunar Month Blessing Ceremony at the Jing Si Hall, attracting nearly 700 participants. For the first time, the event featured a prayer session which combined Buddhist chanting with a rendition of "Repent on the Obstacles of Karmic Retribution” chapter, conveying the concepts of right belief and the protection of life. Along with serving of vegetarian meals and sharing of testimonies, a nutritionist also shared tips on maintaining a healthy vegetarian diet, encouraging everyone to embrace a meatless diet.
