Witnessing the Cycle of Love Amid Distribution of Eco Utensils

Tzu Chi hand-delivered 750 sets of eco-friendly utensils to Gautam Buddha School, Siddhartha Primary School, and Gyan Prabha School in the presence of the Minister of Education, the village chief, school administration, and villagers living nearby. Seizing the opportunity to introduce Tzu Chi to local residents, 12 villagers volunteered as village representatives to work with Tzu Chi to serve villagers in Lumbini.

At lunchtime, students use plastic bags and paper to carry their food. But from today onwards, the children can use bowls and spoons!

In the presence of the Minister of Education, the village chief, school administration, and villagers living nearby, Tzu Chi hand-delivered 750 sets of utensils to the three schools, Gautam Buddha School, Siddhartha Primary School, and Gyan Prabha School.

Tzu Chi Nepal volunteer, Maniram Bahadur Pradhan: If the school keeps it, just when they (students) want to eat, the school will give it to them. And after they used it, they will be taught how to wash it and leave it in school.

Founder of Gyan Prabha School, Venerable Khamesi: Thank you so much to the Tzu Chi Foundation and all the volunteers. It will encourage the children to study.

Education Minister of Lumbini Province, Chandra: The help provided by Tzu Chi to needy people is very impressive. I will request the parliament to provide whatever support needed by Tzu Chi.

Tzu Chi Malaysia volunteer, Raymond Kua: To carry out more activities in the future, to help each other in the villages, we only need one to two representatives from each village.

After gaining a better understanding of Tzu Chi, a total of 12 villagers volunteered to become village representatives under the call of the volunteers to cooperate with Tzu Chi to serve the villagers in the future.

Tzu Chi Malaysia volunteer, Raymond Kua: We pass the message to the representatives to help them understand the purpose. They will then tell the villagers. Most importantly, invite the villagers to do good together.

Village Representative, Riyaj Ahmad: There were very few students, but with the launching of Tzu Chi’s Zero Dropout Programme, students have increased a lot in our school. I want to become a volunteer and help Tzu Chi.

Love has expanded from schools to communities. May this force of goodness circulates endlessly in Lumbini.
