A Tzu Chi staff asked, “Due to my busy schedule as a nurse, I often listen to the Master’s Dharma teaching in recording during my lunch hour and before sleep. Is this disrespectful?”
The Master answered:
I also listen to the recording of what I said to my disciples in the morning while having breakfast to remind myself of what I said. Our respect for Dharma does not lie in the way we listen to Dharma teaching. To have proper respect for Dharma is to be able to practice what we learned from Dharma in our daily lives and to do what needs to be done with conscience.
