A chance encounter at a book fair planted the seed of Tzu Chi in Lee Beng Hwee’s heart. Over time, that seed took root and flourished. The furrows that once marked her brow gradually eased, giving way to a composed and serene presence.
“I don't know if it's too cliché to say that, but 'as long as it is right, just do it!' because there may not be a second chance.” Chua Hwee Pheng, who suffered from a rare brain disease, once said firmly.
